Education Department started online system on Punjab Government orders but it did not worked well. 2011 results were postponed because of unsatisfactory working of online computerized system. Inter part 1 Result waiting students and parents visits board office daily but they are given no response and they also have been told that October 15 is not the final date yet for inter part 1 result announcement.

PU students to travel to China on scholarships

LAHORE: (Monday, August 22, 2011): Under the patronage of the Chief Minister Punjab, Punjab University has signed an addendum on 17-05-2010 to the MoU previously signed. By virtue of this addendum bother universities established collaboration on the fields of research and students exchange.

During the visit of the Chinese delegation, both universities offered 2 scholarships to each other. The scholarships received by the Punjab University went to Sami Aman Ullah and Bushra Hanif of Chinese Language Diploma at the Institute of Languages.

The Director External Linkages and the Institute of Languages Incharge Maria Isabel Maldonado, managed all the communication and the proceedings of the student’s documents so they can travel to China before September 15, 2011.

The magnificient scholarships cover tuition fee, text books fee and living allowance. In addition, they will receive 1700 RMB per month plus a one-time amount of 1500 RMB to buy articles of everyday use.

It is an achievement for PU to have established such collaboration with China with the assistance of the Chief Minister.
PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has expressed his immense pleasure to the students and to Maria Maldonado.

Schools reopen in punjab today,Federal Board extended the vacations...

Lahore, Punjab province announces reopening of schools today on Monday. All the public sector educational institutes will reopen today after summer vacations. Many of the private institutes are scheduled to be reopening after Eid ul fitr but most of the private schools follow government schedule. It was supposed that government will reopen the schools after Eid ul fitr and will extend the summer vacations on the great demand of students, teachers and their parents but it could not happen and government had announced schools reopening orders today on August 15. It Is noticeable that Punjab school education department requested chief minister not to extend summer vacations as here is no reason for more vacations and they argued that schools will face difficulty in completing their 210 academic days which are compulsory to be completed under education calendar of Punjab government. According to sources, as many of the private schools would not reopen on August 15, a dispute was likely to flare up over the summer vacation schedule issue. EDO Education Lahore Pervaiz Akhtar, confiremed the reopening of schools on August 15 and also opposed the rumors people were spreading about extension in summer vacations. Islamabad, federal government education department extended summer vacations till September 4 for the ease of school teachers and parents. And this extension meant another 20 to 25 days off from schools. Vacations have been extended on the demand of teachers and parents. Federal government had been uncertain to extend summer holidays, citing several reasons, the most important that students would not be able to finish their courses on time. Announcement came during Independence Day celebrations, The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) spokesperson Rafiq Tahir, and Capital Administration Development Division (CADD) jointly said, “It is now official. Holidays have been extended in all federal government education institutions,” President Federal Government Teachers Association (FGTA) Azhar Awan also appreciated the decision. Notification has been issued, officials said.

Federal Board: Result Of Inter Part 2 announced Today.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) result of Higher Secondary School Certificate (Part-II) annual examination 2011 will be announced today. Federal board Intermediate part 2 result will be declared today on Friday, said the board authorities.


The result will be available on Federal Board website at www.fbise.edu.pk and for the ease of the students; result will also be available on SMS as official websites went down at the time of result announcement because of heavy traffic on the websites. Students can get result through SMS by unified code 5050 for which the candidates will be required to send SMS in the format FB [roll number].

The result cards and gazettes of the regular candidates will be available at the office of FBISE on August 13 during office hours, said the officials.
